Zanzibar Starts Before You Reach the Island

There's more than one way to arrive in Zanzibar. I chose the ferry.

I travelled to Zanzibar by ferry, and I filmed the crossing. The video above is that footage — the journey from the mainland to the island, exactly as it happened, with nothing staged and nothing added.

Some stories are better told in film than in words, so I'll keep mine short: one crossing, one camera, and an island at the end of the water. What the crossing looked like is all in the video — no secondhand retelling needed.
